Amongst the popular e-commerce platforms, Shopify has been my top choice and is a preferred choice for many sellers looking for quality delivery, simplicity, and rich functionality.

In the US, Shopify remains one of the largest e-commerce platforms following closely with Amazon. One of the best ways to understand the platform’s value is through the stories of users.

One such story was told by Buerge, a 68-year-old owner of “world’s window,” which is a clothing store in Kansas City. The store had been open for 35 years and jumped into crisis mode when the pandemic kicked in. Shopify became her next stop since it was an online sales platform supporting many small businesses looking to get online. The store had seen more sales than they had seen in their brick-and-mortar store.

People ask, “why use Shopify”? and I tell them that the benefits are just too numerous to overlook. Despite these numerous benefits, let’s take a look at the top benefits that stand out (the last two are my favorite).

Apart from the great adoption of Shopify, there is an easy setup that makes Shopify a top-notch platform.There are no technicalities when it comes to the Shopify development and hosting of your online store – or at least none I know of. Also, all you need to launch your website is provided on the platform, including software and hosting. The admin interface is user-friendly, while the user interface is attractive and easy to understand.

Another reason why I use Shopify is because of the ease, as I earlier stated, and no need for technicalities. It means I don’t have to be a tech guru to get started. Secondly, I don’t have to worry about software updates as Shopify takes care of all updates. This gives me a chance to focus on my sales and not on technical terms.

3. Unique Templates that are visually appealing

Shopify comes with a variety of professional templates that help in the creation of unique and visually appealing e-commerce stores. It comes with basic themes that can be worked on by developers to create a richer UI and a unique UX. That being said, I like to work with the basic templates as they are also very great.

Another thing that makes me choose Shopify for my eCommerce store is that it comes with the ability to easily integrate with different apps. Which allows sellers to easily add extra features and more robust functionality to their e-commerce store?

One problem faced by most online sellers – and yes! I was faced with it at the beginning – is how to integrate a payment gateway that is secure and reliable.
